The first thing you said to yourself upon your initial visit to the site probably went something like this:”Wow, this is awesome”"Why is he doing this, though”Sound familiar? I thought so.  Well let me take you back a few years to where it all began….began….beganI was on a hike in Big Sur with 2 friends of mine when I was persuaded into being 1/3 of a 3-person dude calendar picture, overlooking the coastline on a warm Spring day.  It was both liberating and exhilarating.

Only an hour or so later I took another one on a rock on the coast, with waves crashing down; more exhilarating than liberating. From then on it became part of my adventures with nature.  For anyone who has had a nice swim in a high alpine lake with no one else around, I’m sure you have had a similar feeling: you feel like you are one with nature, or at least that it’s pretty darn cool.On almost all of my backpacking trips, (where the scenery permits), I try to snap a picture of these “encounters with nature”, and a road trip to the Soutwest quickly helped me build up my portfolio.

With around 40 pictures from a variety of places I have decided to finally unleash these wonders on the world, letting all who wish to explore the beauty of the backgrounds and strange juxtapositions with an under-tanned me.If you like what you see (and by that I mean the backgrounds and the humor of the foregrounds), please show your support so that I can continue to create your next kitchen calendar.
